Call for Papers

PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

1. Entire paper - A4 format. Font - Times New Roman. Line spacing – 1. Margins: all - 2.5 cm. Paragraph spacing - 10 mm. Text justification - full.

2. Size – 5-8 pages including the list of references.

3. In the upper left corner - UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) - for Russian participants.

4. Title – uppercase, centered. Font size 14. One blank line.

5. Author/authors names - centered, lowercase, font size 14. One blank line.

6. Insert for each author a footnote (font size 10,  and specify at the bottom of the page: name of institution/place of work, city, country, e-mail).

7. Abstract (12-15 lines), font size 12. One blank line.

8. Keywords (no more than 7-10) - italics. Font size 12. Line spacing – 1. One blank line.

9. Text of the paper/report, font size 14, justified. Divide the text into sections (1 to 5). Titles of the sections in uppercase, centred.

10. Approximate structure of the paper: INTRODUCTION (relevance, aim, originality of approach, methods used). SUBTITLE for each SECTION (it may include: basic approaches, general scheme of basic model, structure of its application, practical application of ideas developed, basic technologies, methods of model application, results) SUMMARY/CONCLUSIONS.

11. Example of figure quotation in the text: "As shown in Fig.".

12. Pictures, photographs and other kinds of visual support should be introduced in the document in words and should be formatted in the way to be resized by the word editor.

13. The name of figures in the text should be abbreviated as "Fig.".

14. It is recommended to use italics for all terms that are not commonly used and specific for a developed model or theory.

15. References quotation - in square brackets (source number, year, page/s) or in round brackets, indicating the author and year of publication source.

16. Links/list of references - at the end of the text in alphabetical order. Font size 10, APA style

17. A reference list must be given for each sources mentioned in the text. It is recommended to give the page numbers of books. If the source can be found at WWW, use "[online] Available, date: http://xxxxxx ..."

18. At the end of paper give a paper title (for "Table of Content"), lowercase.

19. Please, include in the name of the submission file the following information: a) name of the conference - CML-2018 or CMSCE-2018, b) dash – last name/s of the author/authors.

For example: CML-ivanov.doc or CMSCE-Ivanov_Petrov.doc

20. The submitted papers undergo an evaluation procedure - by the members of the program committee and, if necessary, by external experts.

Criteria for paper evaluation:

1. Innovative level
2. Professional level
3. Theoretical background
4. Clarity of research objective
5. Empirical basis
6. Having specific findings
7. Clearly specified research findings
8. Well-stated conclusions
9. Relevance for cognitive paradigm
10. Interdisciplinary clarity
11. Interdisciplinary importance
12. General quality of material presentation (style, language, logic etc.)                                  

The accepted and reported papers appear in the conference proceedings (see http://www.confcognresearch.ru/images/ifcm/2017/sbornik1-2017.pdf).

The most innovative materials presented at the forum by full-time participants (20 reports), will be recommended by the Program Committee for publication in “International Journal of Research in the field of cognitive science, engineering and education” (IJCRSEE). The authors of the selected works will be asked to submit an extended version of their article, which will be thoroughly reviewed by two experts in accordance with the criteria of the journal. The extended articles will not be published in the general Forum Proceedings.
